An appropriate way to celebrate one hundred years of Women's Suffrage in Derby and Derbyshire  was to have a project which involved as many women ad wome's organisations as possible. We hope to achieve that aim by commissioning a wall hanging to be made by Derbyshire women and women's groups and organisations  

We hope that the Project will give women the opportunity to use their unique creativity (stitch, paint or techniques like aplique) to translate their part in womens history inthe County ,

Each motif will be unique and  rich in meaning and Deeds Not Words will incorporate the commemorative dates, 1918 - 2018 and other significant dates and events into the design, The feminist colours of purple, white and green will run throughout the hanging.
