100+ Years of Women's Socio-Political Activism in Derbyshire 1866 - Present

 Derby and Derbyshire Inspirational Women Awards, (DDIWA) is an annual Vox Feminarum Women's Voices event. The event is open to women from all backgrounds, living and working in Derby, Derbyshire and surrounding areas. Nominations are open from August 1st to 12 midnight on January 5th. Late nominations are not accepted. The nominees for the category, overall Inspirational Woman Award (which may include some women nominated in the other Award Categories, alongside women who have made a significant contribution to life and community in Derby/Derbyshire and or surrounding areas) are selected by a VoxFemme convened panel. Each Nominees are judged in a transparent process based on merit and in relation to what those nominating have told us about them. Information is also often randomly checked for accuracy and reliability. We rely heavily on the information nominators provide about  Nominees and ask that they do justice by telling us all about them (examples of achievements, characteristics, contributions and sources of information which the panel can use to find out additional information) so that we can assess each Nominee fully and fairly.
